Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival
Ignite your July and indulge yourself in a fireside feast of food, music and craft ciders at the Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival
The fifth Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival is set to ignite the imagination of visitors from around Tasmania, interstate and overseas, who will gather to enjoy rich storytelling and the best of Tasmanian produce this July.
The three-day celebration will feature feast-worthy local food and drink as well as bonfires, music and dancing. Embrace an age-old tradition and join in the wassailing to awake the cider apple trees and scare away evil spirits to ensure a bountiful autumn harvest.
Inspired by Pagan traditions, the changing seasons, and the Earth and all its elements, the Festival has a history of attracting huge crowds donning greenery, feathers, fur and leather. So feel free to head to the local op shop, gather some twigs from the park, get out the face paint and liberate your inner creative.
The Festival runs from 13 to 15 July 2018. For more information visit https://www.huonvalleymidwinterfest.com.au/
